I choose Asian Tigers among other international movers such as Sante Fe, SwiftRelo etc because they offer the most competitive price. But little did I realise that cheap pricing comes with big drawbacks, slow and unprofessionalism. The engagement of Asian Tiger was by my company, hence, corporate to corporate. Communication and billing were between my company's admin and Asian Tiger. I do not have to do anything other than tell the movers what to pack. Asian Tigers came over to my place to pack and move my things on Sep 9 and I was told by the supervisor present that day that it would take 5 days for my things to be moved to Shenzhen. But apparently, no one at Asian Tigers bothered to inform my company that they had packed and moved my things out of my Beijing apartment until 5 days later on Sep14. Even so, they did not provide the invoice to my company to initiate the billing and my company had to remind them and it was finally provided on Sep 15. Asian Tigers told my company that they will not initiate the move from Beijing until they have seen the money. So all these while, my boxes of personal items are still stored somewhere in Beijing instead of having being moved to Shenzhen. My company's standing policy has always to make payments twice monthly, 15th and 30th. Credit to my company, they made an exception for me and the payment to Asian Tigers was made on Sep 24. But what comes next came as a shock to me. Asian Tiger replied today (Sep 26, although today is a Sunday but is a working day in China) that they can't make the move down to Shenzhen this week because Oct 1-7 is the China National Day holidays. Asian Tigers do not work during holidays and if they make the move today (Sep 26), it will reach Shenzhen on Oct 1, and I have to pay for storage in Shenzhen for the duration from Oct 1-7! So from the initiation of the move on Sep 9, I will only get to see my boxes on Oct 13 at the earliest for a domestic move. This is a really slow, unreliable and unprofessional company. Right from the start, the delay was their fault in not informing my company that they had packed and moved my things out of my Beijing apartment on Sep 9, and slow in producing the invoice to my company (happened only on Sep 15), and as a customer who adhere to their rules & regulations, I had to bear the inconveniences! This is the last time that I am giving them my business. When I move to another city or back to my home country in future, Asian Tigers will not even make it onto my list.Read more
